Ziad Lammam, Director, Product Management at Teradici
Mark is a thought leader and entrepreneur with more than 20 years’ experience in the business intelligence (BI) industry. He has been on the founding team of four successful technology startups, including cloud BI company Indicee.
Mark’s passion for solving business problems with technology began in 1991, when his family company began building the world’s first Windows-based reporting tool Crystal Reports. Crystal grew to employ over 2,000 employees and was eventually acquired by Business Objects for $820M. Mark is a strong advocate of cloud computing with a wealth of technology leadership experience and a unique perspective on how IT delivery has changed over the last two decades.
Mark joined D&B following Indicee’s acquisition in April 2014. He now heads up the Cloud Innovation team in Vancouver, responsible for building the next generation of D&B products, in the cloud.
Eugene Dong is CTO and and co-founder of Procurify. As CTO, Eugene oversees the creation and maintenance of the product by leading the technical team's development of the code and infrastructure; he is constantly tweaking and improving that code and infrastructure until it is flawless. He also coordinates between the business and technical sides of the team. His insatiable craving for technology and innovation helps to give the company the edge it needs to stay ahead of the competition. Currently, Procurify has users worldwide in over 53 countries and is quickly making it's mark on the cloud technology landscape.
Chris is a highly intelligent, caring and charismatic leader; he is a true entrepreneur with a special ability to use his instinct to assess risk, make the right decisions, and achieve excellence.
Over the past 11 years, Chris Day has helped lead Fully Managed to be one of the largest and most respected Managed Services Providers (MSP) in Western Canada, employing 36 staff across multiple locations. In May of 2013, Chris founded his second venture, IT Glue, a Software-as-a-service which delivers a beautiful, simple, secure and standardized documentation platform for IT departments and service providers.
Chris speaks regularly on behalf of Microsoft and other key strategic partners at leading technology conferences throughout North America and was awarded BIV’s Forty Under 40 award in 2013/14.
Ziad is the Director of Product Management for Teradici’s desktop-as-a-service and virtual desktop solutions. He is responsible for a product portfolio that includes Teradici’s PCoIP technology as a key ingredient in hosted desktop and application platforms from partners such as Amazon Web Services and VMware. Ziad also manages Teradici’s portfolio of management products and cloud endpoint devices such as zero clients, thin clients and mobile clients.
Ziad has 10 years of experience in the cloud computing industry with Teradici and numerous ecosystem partners, focusing on technology that delivers a remote, mobile and rich user experience to end users. Prior to Teradici, Ziad held senior product roles at PMC-Sierra, Nortel Networks and Spectrum Signal Processing. Ziad holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA from Simon Fraser University.
Phil Whelan is a Technology Evangelist and has worked as a Software Engineer for the past 16 years. For the the past several years he has had a strong focus on cloud technologies and DevOps for which he has written many blog posts, webinars and a few speaking engagements. Phil works for ActiveState, who are one of the leading providers of private PaaS software.
Phil is also known for his involvement in the Cloud Foundry open-source PaaS project. His previous experience includes working for Cloudera, the BBC, Livedoor.com and several startup companies.
Jenny is a technology entrepreneur and investor. Most recently she co-founded and was founding CEO of Metafor Software. Prior to Metafor, Jenny was a VC at BDC Venture Capital where she led and managed BDC’s investments in startups such as Bycast (acquired by NetApp) and OctigaBay (acquired by CRAY). Jenny has also been a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Co.
Jenny holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from UBC and an MBA from INSEAD.
