Building the Web's Best Entertainment-Based Community Site: Andy Liu, CEO and Founder of BuddyTV

How do you build a company focused on creating enterprise value?  How do you avoid the common entrepreneurs’ pitfalls?  Andy from BuddyTV is going to talk about the top 10 mistakes entrepreneurs make.  Based out of Seattle, BuddyTV transforms television from a very passive and non-social experience to an online community where viewers can talk to each other and enjoy fun games while watching their favourite shows.

Andy brings deep experience in building companies, site optimization, community building, and product development.  BuddyTV received over $9 million in funding from Charles River Ventures, Madrona Venture
and Gemstar-TV Guide International.  In 2010, it won Lead411’s “Hottest Seattle Company” award.  Prior to BuddyTV, Andy served as President and CEO of NetConversions prior to its sale to aQuantive and served as VP and GM of its Site Optimization unit.  As an advocate of entrepreneurship, Andy is also an angel investor and has started non-profit organizations in developing countries.  Andy holds an MBA from Wharton and was named one of Puget Sound Business Journal’s top 40 under 40.
